Umrah Manasik Means to Strengthen Preparation of Umrah Worship »Nabawi Mulia

Umrah Manasik is a simulation activity of the implementation of Umrah worship carried out in accordance with the procedures specified in Islamic law, complete with an explanation of the meaning and wisdom behind it. This activity includes all elements in the pilgrimage, namely harmony, mandatory, sunnah, and its prohibitions. This simulation is arranged in such a way as to resemble the real conditions in the Holy Land, so that pilgrims get a clear and comprehensive picture of the pilgrimage journey that will be undertaken.

In general, the order of activities in the Umrah ritual includes:

1. Initial preparation

The manasik begins with the preparation stages. At this stage, participants are directed to read sunnah prayers before traveling, such as:

• Prayer out of the house

• Prayer said goodbye

• Safar prayer

Furthermore, participants receive an explanation of the Sunnah Ihram, which includes:

• Tidy up the nails and shaving the hairs on the body.

• Large bath (shower), then fly.

• Use the body (not on ihram cloth).

• Wearing ihram clothes, which are two sheets of white cloth without stitches wrapped around the body (specifically men).

2. Ihram simulation

This stage illustrates the situation as if the participants had arrived at the miqat, which is the geographical limit to start the Ihram’s intention. Ihram is the first pillar in Umrah, which is to recite the intention to start the pilgrimage by saying:

I have Umrah
LBAIKA ‘Umratan
“O Allah, I fulfill your call to do Umrah.”

Since the intention was spoken, the official participants entered the Ihram state. In this condition, there are several prohibitions that must be shunned, including:

• Use fragrances.

• Cut the nails and shave hair.

• Kill animals or pull out plants.

• Do lust, such as husband and wife relations.

• Apply, get married, or marry.

• Commit a crime and lie.

• Take the findings, except to be announced.

After Ihram’s intention, participants continued the simulative journey to Mecca. During the trip, it is recommended to continue to recite Talbiyah:

God bless you, for you
Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika Laa Syarika Laka Labbaik, Innal Hamda Wan Ni’mata Laka Wal Mulk, Laa Syarika Lak.

3. Tawaf simulation

Tawaf is a pillar of Umrah in the form of surrounding the Kakbah seven times in the opposite direction of the clock, starting and ending at Hajar Aswad. The first three rounds are done by walking fast (if possible), while the remaining four rounds are done by walking normally.

At the beginning of rotation, it is to delete or signal to Hajar Aswad as they say:

In the name of God, God is greater
Bismillahi Allahu Akbar

Then proceed with dhikr such as:

Glory for God, and praise for God, and there is no God but God, and God is greater
Subhanallā, Walhamdulillāh, Walhāhah Illallāah, Akbāhah wall, the wall of ahawha Billiāhil’s Ali’lā.

When passing through the pillars of Yamani, it is recommended to read the prayer:

Our Lord has given us goodness, and in the hereafter, and we have a fire torture
Rabbanaa Aatinaaa Fid-Dianya Hasanah, Wa Fil-Akhikati Hasanah, Wa Qinaa ‘Adzaaban-Nar.

After completing seven rounds, participants prayed two rak’ahs near the Maqam of the Prophet Ibrahim while reading:

And take from Abraham’s place
Wattakhidzû min maqâmi ibrâhema mushallâ

Then, followed by drinking zamzam water and preparing for the next worship, namely Sai.

4. SAI simulation

Sai is a pillar of Umrah in the form of running fast between Shafa Hill and Marwah seven times. When he arrived at Shafa Hill, participants read:

Lines and bitterness are among God’s rituals, the beginning of what God has started
Inna Ash-Shafaa Wal-Marwata Min Sya’aairillah, Abda’u Bimaa Bada’a Allahu Bih.

Then proceed with dhikr and prayer:

God is the greatest (3x), there is no God but God, and nothing will be for Him, and He has a king and He has praise, and he will die, and he is your same partner for him, his promise, his servants, and his servants, and parties -the parties are defeated alone alone alone
Akbar Lābah (3x), Lā Imīt, Whadullu Wahayr. Lā llāha Illullawāhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaee

After that, the participants walked from the Shafa hill to Marwah. On the way, while in a place marked by the green light, male participants were presented to jog while reading:

God, forgive and have a pity
The Rabbighfir war, he said we were Azzu Al-Akram.

This was done seven trips (Shafa -Carwah -Shafa, and so on), ended at Bukit Marwah. After Sai is finished, participants do the tahallul, which is to cut some of the head hair as a closing of the pilgrimage.

5. Orderly

The entire series of pilgrims must be done in an orderly or sequential manner. This is a legal requirement for worship, in accordance with the guidance of the Prophet ṣalallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam.

Thus the series of activities in the Umrah ritual. Hopefully through this simulation, participants gain a deep understanding and mental and spiritual readiness to carry out the real pilgrimage. May Allah subḥānahu wa ta’ālā accept all our deeds.
