Cambodia will be Trump candidates for Nobel Peace Prizes
Cambodia will nominate US President Donald Trump, for the Nobel Peace Prize as a recognition of his new role in this new ceasefire with Thailand, Anadolu Ajansi reported.
This problem was informed by Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia Sun Chanthol on Friday.
“As Cambodia, we admire and thank the US President, ‘President of Peace.’
“We must officially recommend that President Donald Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,” he said as reported by Cambodia Fresh News.
Chanthol said the termination of the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand had saved thousands of lives.
The relationship between Thailand and Cambodia has worsened in recent weeks, with tensions for five days of air attacks and cross -border rockets that killed and injured dozens of people before ending with a ceasefire on July 28.
On Monday, Malaysia held a peace talks in Kuala Lumpur, where both parties agreed to stop cross -border shots.

Previously, Trump had contacted the Prime Minister of Thailand and Cambodia, asking them to stop the battle and warn that the ongoing conflict could affect their trade agreements with the US.
Trump once again contacted the two leaders to congratulate the ceasefire.
On Friday, both parties brought foreign diplomats to the joint border but were debated to explore damaged areas, and senior officials from the two countries were scheduled to meet in Malaysia for border consultations.
Meanwhile, in June, Pakistan also announced that Islamabad would nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in his role in achieving a ceasefire with Pakistan, following the Cross Missile Incident in May.
Then in July, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also stated that he would nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
