KPM Receives Memorandum #Keadaktikzara

The Minister of Education, Fadhlina Sidek, told him that he had received the #keilanuzara memorandum on Tuesday.

In a statement on Facebook, Fadhlina said the memorandum had been handed over to the Secretary -Jenders, Datuk Dr. Aminuddin Hassim who represented the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE).

He added that he had also received a visit to student activists in the Malaysian Parliament Building to further discuss all the problems proposed.

“There are four claims made in this memorandum specifically for KPM. I am the following details together with the actions taken by the ministry,” he said.

The first claim is to implement a comprehensive reform of the national education system, especially on intimidation issues.

For this claim, Fadhlina said KPM had announced several important steps in increasing security in all educational institutions under its management.

“This includes conducting security audits, improving the intimidation system, establishing a security reform committee, taking suspension and firing schools for intimidation and ensuring that aspects of psychosocial support continue to be strengthened at every level,” he said.

“KPM agrees with this proposal and will hold a handling session with all stakeholders to enlighten the guidelines to overcome these mistakes.

“Third, this requires mandatory and routine training for all teachers, administrators, and warders about crisis interventions, student emotional management, and professional procedures to deal with complaints that support the victims.

“Guidelines for dealing with violations of intimidation must be met with all KPM educational institutions. The training aspect will continue to be strengthened to ensure the preparation of school administrators, teachers, and warders.

“Fourth, this gives the public an open explanation of this problem, especially the actions taken by the school.

“KPM welcomes the PDRM steps to arrange a special task force to handle cases involving the late Putra Zara Qairina. The ministry has fully cooperated with the police investigation. The development of the case will be notified from time to time by the GRDP,” he said.

In addition, Fadhlina said all KPM residents were very sad by the incident that hit Zara Qairina.

“This case is indeed the main concern of the ministry. I put all hopes for the truth and justice to be upheld,” he added.
