KPM in the direction of Nazir’s pilgrims runs a safety audit, reported every week
Putrajaya, August 26 (named) – The Ministry of Education (MOE) has directed the Head of Nazir Pilgrims to mobilize throughout Malaysia to conduct security audits.
The Director of Education Dr. Mohd Azam Ahmad said the findings of security audits must be reported to him every week.
“The results of the findings I received will be open to the Minister and specify the actions to be taken.
“This is one of the initiatives that we can see as a whole, and with this effort, we can strengthen aspects of school and dormitory safety, especially the safety of our children and all schools,” he said at a special press conference here today.
He said the initiative through school safety audits was applied after a school accident case involving several students.
Previously, today the media reported that the third grade student was reported to have fallen from the third floor of the school dormitory in Sabak Bernam, Selangor.
Asked whether Moe would take action to improve aspects of school security and dormitories because many students reported had fallen from a higher level, Mohd Azam said he had formed the Security Reform Committee for Educational Institutions, Non -Government Organizations, Various Field Experts, Police and Parents, Communities and Private (PIBKS).
“I have directed the committee to review all procedures, SOPs (standard operating procedures) related to the handling of symptoms of intimidation, sexual harassment and school safety.
“The committee is led by the Director of the Daily School Management Division and has begun to take action to review all procedures, in the dormitory, in schools, to ensure that the procedure can be improved.
Mohd Azam said he had also directed all officers including Director and High Management in MOE, the Department of State Education and District Education Office to make a surprise visit to schools and dormitories regardless of time.
He said that his party was aimed at monitoring the situation in schools under the MOE and the information collected would be used together with a special committee to review the security procedures in the predetermined schools to strengthen the distribution of existing guidelines or procedures.
