Boys were found dead in the gutter hole in Sibu
Sibu, August 4 (named)-A two-year-old boy was killed after he was believed to have fallen into the waste disposal system on Jalan Pedada here this afternoon.
A spokesman for the Operations Center for the Department of Fire and Rescue of Sarawak (JBPM) said the victim was declared dead at the scene by the Malaysian Ministry of Health.
He said following an emergency call about the incident at 6.29 pm, the 10 -member engine from Sibu Sentral Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) arrived at the scene four minutes later.
“When he arrived at the rescue team at the scene, the victim’s father told his son and was believed to have fallen into the access hole in the waste water channel system. The search and rescue operation immediately.
“At 6.55 pm, the victim was found in the gutter and raised five minutes later before being handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
