Malaysia in Iran is advised to leave immediately – Kln

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KLN) suggested that all Malaysians who were still in Iran to leave the country immediately used a safe and available method.

The suggestion was released after the increasing situation due to the increasing tension between Iran and Israel since Friday.

“All Malaysians in Iran are advised to leave the country immediately through a safe and available method.

“The current situation is very volatile and potentially worse without early warning, the safety and welfare of Malaysians remain a priority for the ministry,” he said.

KLN also told me that the Malaysian Embassy in Tehran was currently monitoring Iran’s security.

“This effort has been improved after the aggression of the Israeli regime against Iran on June 13, 2025 which has made tension in the region,” he added.

The statement also confirmed that the embassy was closely related to all Malaysians who had registered in Iran and they were reported safe.

“The Malaysian Embassy will continue to provide the consular assistance needed to facilitate their travel process from Tehran,” he said.

For any emergency, Malaysians in Iran can contact the embassy at +98 21 8807 2444, +98 21 8807 8606, +98 933 535 2602.

They can also send an email to the address mwtehran@kln.gov.my or mwconsular.teh@gmail.com.

For info, the address of the Malaysian Embassy in Tehran is No.25, Second Lane, Jalan Zarafhan Utara, Shahr-e-Gharb.
