Trump General Iran & Israel agreed ‘fully ceasefire’
US President Donald Trump has announced that Iran and Israel have agreed to implement a ceasefire gradually starting Tuesday, which is expected to lead to “official termination” of conflicts between the two.
“It has been fully agreed upon between Iran and Israel that there will be a full ceasefire,” Trump wrote on Monday night through its social platform.
However, there was no official statement issued by Iran or Israel to confirm the agreement.
According to the details submitted by Trump, the ceasefire will be implemented gradually within 24 hours, starting around 0400 GMT Tuesday.
He added that Iran was also expected to stop all its operations unilaterally first, followed by Israel 12 hours later.
“When the 24th hour arrives, the official termination of the 12-day war will be celebrated by the world,” he said, adding that both parties agreed to remain “safe and respectful” during the process.
Trump’s announcement was made only a few hours after Iran launched an attack on the US military base in Qatar, which he described as a response to the “weak” of US air strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites last weekend.
Since Israel launched a massive military attack on June 13, the two countries have responded to air strikes regularly.
