PTPTN LOVE PALLANGE PROGRAM: TAKAFUL BENEFITS OF SSPN Maintaining Children’s Education from Victims
The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) through PTPTN Love Pilgrimage Program has visited five (5) houses of victims of the Federal Savings Unit (FRU) in Perak.
The pilgrimage session was attended by YBHG. Dato ‘Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim, Chairperson of PTPTN, YBHG. Dato ‘Dr. Aminuddin bin MD Hanafiah, Member of the Management Board of PTPTN and YBRS. Mrs. Mastura Binti Mohd Khalid, Head of Operations PTPTN.
During the pilgrimage session, PTPTN contributed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the form of RM15,000 in cash to children from FRU accidents involving 15 people.
Each child receives RM1,000 in the form of an SSPN Prime Save account.
In addition, PTPTN also presents the benefits of takaful and death of the national education savings scheme (except SSPN) to two (2) beneficiaries of the victims of the late Mohd Roslan bin Abd Rahim and the late Amiruddin bin Zabri.
The late Mohd Roslan bin Abd Rahim, 46, a member of the Sergeant Fru was a SSPN Prime deposit that opened his own account on May 7, 2025 and had savings that met the requirements to receive the benefits of Takaful protection of RM1,000.00 by incised RM3,000.00.
This makes the entire SSPN Prime save the benefits of RM4,000.00.
He also opened three (3) SSPN plus a savings account under the diamond package for three (3) children on March 31, 2019.
Through the Diamond Package with RM30.00 commitment per month for each RM20.00 account and Takaful contribution from RM10.00 which qualifies as SSPN plus savings with Takaful (death) price of RM60,000.00 for one (1) account and total RM180,000.00 for three (3) accounts.
In addition, the recipient also meets the requirements for the death of RM9,000.00 for three (3) accounts. This makes all SSPN Plus save the benefits of RM189,000.00.
So the total benefits of SSPN SSPN Prime and SSPN Plus stored are RM193,000.00.
Meanwhile, FRU 38 -year -old member is also a SSPN Prime Deposite who opened their own account on May 7, 2025 and has savings that meet the requirements for the total benefits of Takaful protection of RM1,000.00 with the encouragement of RM3,000.00.
This makes the entire SSPN Prime save the benefits of RM4,000.00.
YBHG. Dato ‘Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim, Chairperson of PTPTN said, “PTPTN hopes that through CSR contributions and the benefits of Takaful protection and SSPN death savings can help ease the financial burden of the depositors who lose their loved ones.
Although there is no value that can replace losses, the benefits received are expected to ensure the education of the final children and provide support for their survival.
