FAM Exco Ready to Resign to Avoid FIFA Suspension – Mohd Yusoff
PETALING JAYA, Jan 8 (Bernama) — Members of the Executive Committee (Exco) of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) are ready to resign if that is the best option to save the football body from suspension by the International Football Federation (FIFA).
FAM president Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mahadi said the issue was one of the issues discussed at today’s joint exco meeting.
“Today we summoned the entire exco to discuss the direction of FAM, and of course regarding the statement by the Secretary General of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation), Datuk Windsor regarding FAM’s suspension.
“If that choice (resigning) is the best decision, we will do it unanimously because we are united as an exco,” he said when met after the meeting.

Meanwhile, Mohd Yusoff informed that the exco was also discussing other alternatives so that FAM would not be suspended, but he was reluctant to reveal these proposals.
“We are considering the exco’s views today, but there is no final decision yet. There are two or three options,” he said.
