Volcano Shinmoedane erupted in Japan

Tokyo, August 10 (named-xinhua)-a strong decrease in the Shinmoedane volcano in the Kirishima mountains occurred around 5.23 in the morning local time on Sunday, spreading ash more than 3,000 meters into the air, according to local media, Xinhua reported.

The volcano, which is located on the border between Kagoshima and Miyazaki, has erupted on June 27. The eruption ash on Sunday was reported to have moved in northeast and is expected to reach Takanabe in Miyazaki Province, according to the NHK National Broadcast Station.

The Japanese Meteorology Agency (JMA) has warned that ash rain is expected to occur in Kobayashi and Takaharu in Miyazaki Province, and Kirishima in Kagoshima Province.

According to JMA, small volcanic rocks can fall in about 14 kilometers in the northeast of the crater.

The agency maintains the eruption warning in the third phase, advising the population to be aware of large volcanic rocks within three kilometers of the crater and pyroclastic flow in two kilometers.
