Women’s Blood Donation 580 times receive the ‘Medal for Life’ award

“During the operation in 1980, I was still small and not suitable for donations. It was difficult to find donors in my family and relatives because not many would want to donate.
“Some are willing to donate blood, only my neighbors but he asked for payment. Since then, I began to realize the importance of donor sacrifice because it would give hope to those who need it.
He said this when he met reporters after receiving an award at the 2025 National Blood Donation Appreciation ceremony and the celebration of PDN Perak Jubilee which was inaugurated by the Minister of Health Datuk Series Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad.
Starting blood donations from the age of 18, Kuantan -Born, Pahang said his health remained good and had not suffered from any disease until now and hoped more, especially the younger generation, had become a blood donor.
Meanwhile, the recipient of the pomegranate award Norhasri Mohamad So, 44, has actively donated blood from the age of 28 after a black accident involving an accident on the road at the age of three and suffered a lot of blood loss.
“During the accident, our family was on his way back from the village of Teluk Kemang, Negeri Sembilan to Kuala Lumpur before my father’s vehicle was left while avoiding trucks. I lost so much blood and this was what the family said.
“So, I was determined to become a blood donor because I realized how many donor services were,” he said, adding that the accident caused his right hand and right foot to get a physical card (defect).
The electronic driver of O+ bloody donates blood 99 times and is the only disability blood donor receiving an award at the event.
The pomegranate award refers to the number of donors from Afian 76 to 100 times or the number of blood donations (31 to 40 times).
