Henan Mining Group, a crane manufacturing company in China recently stole the spotlight when it handed out cash bonuses worth tens of millions of dollars to its employees along with the company’s annual party, the Mothershipsg portal reported.

Henan Mining Group reportedly awarded bonuses of S$33 million in 2026, including more than S$11 million distributed in cash at a gala ceremony held on February 13.

According to Chinese financial media reports, the crane company recorded a profit of S$49 million in 2025, with two-thirds of it distributed to employees as performance rewards.

It is known that around 7,000 employees and their family members attended the event.

The most awaited part of this event is the cash raffle segment as well as the money counting competition (you can take home as much as you like).

Interestingly, employees are given the opportunity to count cash in real time within a certain period of time and are allowed to take home as much money as they managed to count.

Through a viral clip showing employees competing to count the bonus money as quickly as possible to take home.

This is not the first time Henan Mining has gone viral for giving away piles of cash.

Last year, Henan Mining Group recorded profits of 260 million yuan (S$48.1 million) in 2024.

To celebrate the milestone, a total of 170 million yuan (S$31.5 million) in cash was up for grabs during the annual general meeting on January 25, with 100 yuan notes arranged on a long table.

In 2023, news that the company distributed 61 million yuan to the 40 best performing employees also went viral on Chinese social media.
