Seven States Forecast Heavy Rain Tonight
The Meteorological Department of Malaysia (MetMalaysia) issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in seven states until 17.00 this afternoon.
According to the statement, the states involved are Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Sarawak and Sabah.
Heavy Rain Conditions
“From SilverThe areas where rain is predicted are Kerian, Larut, Matang Dan Selamat, Hulu Perak, and Kuala Kangsar.
“Meanwhile on Kelantan as well as Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang and Pasir Puteh.
“Aside from Terengganu including Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu. For Selangor Apart from that, only two areas are predicted to receive rain, namely Hulu Langat and Sepang.
“From Negeri Sembilan including Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah and Rembau.
“Switch to Sarawakareas where rain is predicted include Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Kapit (Song and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh) and Miri (Subis, Beluru and Marudi).
“From Sabah including only Tawau (Lahad Datu),” the statement said.
Therefore, residents in the area are advised to be aware of these sudden weather changes and ensure the safety of themselves and their families.
The public is also advised to avoid outdoor activities and always follow weather warnings from METMalaysia through official channels.
Preventive measures need to be taken to reduce the risk of undesirable events occurring due to bad weather which is predicted to hit the area.
