6 States, 1 Region Heavy Rain Forecast Until Tonight
The Meteorological Department of Malaysia (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in six states and one Federal Territory (WP) until 20.00 tonight.
According to the statement, several districts in the states of Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Johor and the entire Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
“From Silverrain is predicted in several areas, such as Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar and Kinta. Upon entry Kelantan and only in the Gua Musang area.
“Besides that Terengganu including Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang and Dungun Districts. While in Pahang rain is expected in several sub-districts, such as Bentong, Bera and Rompin.
“From Selangor also covers the districts of Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor and Gombak.
“Switch to Johor“The Segamat, Mersing and Kota Tinggi sub-districts are expected to experience heavy rain,” the statement said.
Therefore, residents in the area are advised to be aware of these sudden weather changes and ensure the safety of themselves and their families.
The public is also advised to avoid outdoor activities and always follow the latest weather warnings from METMalaysia through official channels.
Preventive measures must be taken to reduce the risk of undesirable things occurring due to bad weather that is predicted to hit the area.
