Heavy rain is expected to hit six states this afternoon
The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong wind warning for most of the six states until 5pm this afternoon.
Based on this statement, several areas in the states of Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Sarawak and Sabah are expected to experience rain, while the entire Penang area is expected to receive rain.
“From KedahThe districts involved are Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu. Upon entry Silver Also involving the areas of Kerian, Larut, Matang Dan Selamat, Hulu Perak and Kuala Kangsar.
“In addition, several areas in Selangor Rain is also expected in Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor and Hulu Selangor.

“Meanwhile on Sabah “covering the interior (Tenom and Keningau), the West Coast (Ranau), Tawau (Tawau, Kunak and Semporna) and Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid and Beluran),” the statement said.
Therefore, residents in the area are advised to be aware of these sudden weather changes and ensure the safety of themselves and their families.
The public is also advised to avoid outdoor activities and always follow weather warnings from METMalaysia through official channels.
Preventive measures need to be taken to reduce the risk of undesirable events occurring due to bad weather which is predicted to hit the area.
