JPN Kedah Investigates Issue of Official Influence of School Board
ALOR SETAR, Dec 9 (Bernama) — The Kedah State Education Department (JPN) is conducting an investigation into the recent invitation of a social media influencer to officiate an academic awards ceremony at a school in the state.
JPN in its statement informed that it is taking this issue seriously.
“An investigation is underway, and strict action will be taken against any party proven not to comply with the current regulations.
“JPN Kedah reminds all school administrators to ensure that invitations to external parties comply with the guidelines, and invited guests must be good role models in line with the wishes stated in the National Education Philosophy,” said his statement.
Previously, a video uploaded by an influencer showing himself leading an awards ceremony at a school in Kedah went viral on social media sites.
However, the post invited various reactions from netizens who considered the influencer unfit to be an official at the school event.
