Unable to get off the stage, school students get a job offer during the chat
High school graduation ceremony is often a special moment that every student awaited. The event, which is the final sign of one learning phase is celebrated with family and teacher.
Usually, this ceremony is held with custom and attended by speech, certificate presentation and presentation. This moment also opens a new sheet for students to enter the world of higher education or enter a career.
Recently, a video that records graduates receives job offers shortly after receiving a certificate.
Before Miguel Rodriguez Berez came down from the meeting stage Newark High School ArtsHe was called back by the Newark District Education Officer (PPD) Roger León.
“Miguel, I have a question for you. You want (university) William Paterson, right? What do you want to do if you go there?” Asked León.
“I want to be a music teacher at Newark public school,” answered the students.
Immediately after answering the question, the student was surprised by the offer as a contract teacher at Newark Public School.
According to the Newark Education Board, 34 graduates were offered a contract as a candidate for teacher with an offer of USD74,000 (RM311.725) per year.
Conditional contracts require every student to pursue a bachelor’s degree and acquire a teacher in New Jersey, according to the New York Post.
After graduating from tertiary education, students will return to Newark public schools to teach with a double wage compared to the initial salary on average there.
“This contract symbolizes our investment in local talent and long -term strategy in building a teacher’s line that understands our students. Today, we not only celebrate graduates, but also welcome our colleagues in the future,” León said.
The contagious record ended with the submission of a contract plaque to Miguel.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is a contract worth USD74,000 for Miguel Rodriguez Berudez,” General León.
León also told students that official documents would be submitted later when his name was called to receive a diploma.
Through the ceremony, León also thanked Miguel’s mother who raised her son alone as a single mother.
“This is because your single mother and all the sacrifices she made. For all the single mothers out there, continuing their efforts because success will surely come,” he said.
