UPSI TRAGEDIA: Every family of victims killed RM10,000 from the Madani Government – Fahmi
Kuala Lumpur, June 11 (named) – The Madani government will give RM10,000 to the family every 15 victims killed in a cruise ship accident involving students of the Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) on Monday.
Communication Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who is also a spokesman for the Madani government, said the government will also donate RM5,000 to each of them injured in the tragedy.
He said this problem was informed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at a cabinet meeting held today.

“The Prime Minister also directed the Attorney General’s Office to examine the aspects of insurance law for the victims.
“The cabinet also expressed his condolences to all the heirs of the victims in the incident,” he said at a press conference at Angkasapuri today, who was also accompanied by Minister of Transportation Anthony Loke and Datuk Series Minister of Work Alexander Nanta Langgi.
On Monday, 15 UPSI students were killed when a special rental bus that took them from Jertih to the main campus of Tanjung Malim in Perak after breaking into the Perodua Alza Multi-Guna Vehicle on Jalan Timur-West.
The accident also resulted in 33 injured including drivers and drivers of bus and drivers and three Alza passengers.
